Pray and Plan

“Where there is no vision, the people perish…” Proverbs 29:18 a

How do you formulate a plan for homeschooling? Good question. This will vary depending on your personality, family size and budget, but don’t forget the most important component of starting to homeschool…. prayer.

Pray for God to give you and your husband wisdom for your family.

Pray for His guidance and protection over your homeschool.

Pray for godly mentors for you and for your husband.

Pray for the resources that you will need and to show you what style and teaching methods you should use.

Ask Him for a tender heart that is teachable for both you and your children.

Pray for Him to enable to You to see your family as a ministry and to remember that teaching them is about growing young men and women who love the Lord.

Ask Him to bless your planning a preparation and to give you a vision for raising a godly generation for Him.

Pray for diligence and perseverance.

Ask Him to give you a hunger for learning.

    I wished I had read this a year ago when we began homeschooling, but it is never too late to implement such wisdom. Thank you!
