Constitution Workshop Begins today at 9 am

High School Constitution Class Sat – Included with your CHEC Registration!

5 Session Constitution Class on Saturday!

5 Session Constitution Class on Saturday!

Bob Menges is teaching this five-part course on Saturday. It is open to high school students and adults and is included for high school students and adults with your family registration.

These five sessions will lay the groundwork for looking at government through the lens of the Bible and how we can bring glory to God as we pursue an understanding of our nation’s history from a Biblical Worldview. We will trace the providential hand of God from the time of the Reformation up through the ratification of the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

In order for us to develop our Christian Worldview of government and our understanding of the linkage of that worldview to our government, it is imperative for us to understand the truth about history and make the Biblical connection to the truths about limited government under the Rule of Law (United States Constitution). These sessions are not simply another talk or class about history and government; this is about developing an in-depth understanding of this subject from a Biblical Worldview in order to bring Glory to God with our thoughts and actions concerning our government.”

Sessions

Session # 1      Biblical Worldview of Government – What is the purpose of government?

Session # 2      Historical Background of the United States Constitution

Session # 3      Historical Background of the United States Constitution

Session # 4      Failure of the Articles of Confederation

Session # 5      United States Constitution

Intro to Homeschooling Seminar Tonight!

Are you unsure if homeschooling is the best choice for your family? Do you want to homeschool but your husband is not sure that your kids will get everything they need?

Come and get answers on June 13th at 7 pm. This workshop costs an additional $5.00 per person and includes all materials. Register at the door!

Not sure what kind of curriculum to buy? Take the opportunity tonight to come by to the Curriculum Show and Tell  and see real curriculum used by real homeschoolers and talk to them about what they use and why.

There is no registration necessary for the Curriculum Show and Tell and it will begin at 6 pm just before the Intro to Homeschooling Seminar.

Registration begins at the door at 6:45 pm for the Intro to Homeschooling Seminar, held in conjunction with the 2013 Coastal Home Educators Conference.

Dr. Carl Broggi, of Search the Scriptures is a veteran homeschooling father and the senior pastor of Community Bible Church.

He will share the experiences of many parents and even  some of his own experience in providing a superior education to children from home. This presentation is intended to help interested parents understand the benefits and responsibilities of home education, and includes a question and answer session.

If you are new to the idea of homeschooling or if you are planning on homeschooling for the first time, this is something you will not want to miss.
